You had me at hello! I mean, chili peppers, cocoa and vanilla beans.
I was fortunate enough to get a chance to meet the head brewer of Perennial of St. Louis before he headed to the Big Beer Fest in Vail and of course try the Abraxas.
This beer is an imperial stout brewed with ancho chili peppers, cacao nibs, vanilla beans and cinnamon sticks. It’s nearly black in color with a complex body. It’s so smooth and delicious you wouldn’t believe it’s 10% ABV! Trust me, I went back for a second taste.
